Weather and Clothes
There is a saying about the weather in Iceland, “If you don´t like the weather just wait five minutes, it will have changed by then.“ So be prepared for snow, sleet, rain and sun. Bring necessary clothes with you, to wear outside, at work and everyday clothes.

Transportation
You will be staying at the school´s dormitory. It is located 5 minutes (walk) away from the school. If you have to catch a bus to other villages in the municipality the bus station is also only 5 minutes (walk) away from the dormitory.
Emergency
In the event of emergency please call 00 354 112 and then contact your contact person afterwards.
In the event of fire, the fire alarm sounds and all occupants of the dormitory must leave their room in an orderly fashion. Please make yourselves aware of the escape routines on the signs hanging in the corridors. All occupants must gather in the parking lot in front of the dormitory. Do not use the elevator.
If you´re in need of colsulting a doctor:
· On weekdays from 8:00 – 16:00; Call +354 470 1450 and you´ll reach the local clinic in Neskaupstaður 1700
· Outside of office hours, on weekends and national holidays; Call +354 1700 and you´ll reach a nurse which can connect you to a doctor
